Ghana 2025

Visual representations of Cape Coast, Ghana, are often reduced to its slave castles and coastline, overlooking the everyday experiences that shape life and memory. Ɛte sɛn? is a creative research project exploring Black embodiment, memory, and land through photography and the five senses, centering the mundane as a site of cultural significance. The result is a sensory exploration of the in-between that challenges reductive representations of Africa by making space for the ordinary, the intimate, and the overlooked.
